Sara Bareilles claims she's made a full recovery from COVID-19.
Sara Bareilles had apparently contracted coronavirus, but she's made a full recovery since, as per the singer-songwriter herself.
The 40-year-old took to Instagram Story to break the news to her followers while going out for a walk following a therapy session.
I had it, just so you know. I'm fully recovered, just so you know. And I am just thinking about all the people who are walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love and just being really grateful for every easy breath and every day that I get to be walking around.
Bareilles added, "I'm really quiet right now and will probably continue to be quiet, just sort of taking all of this in and having a lot of feelings, as I do."
Earlier on 13th March, the singer had announced the run of her musical 'Waitress,' based on the 2007 film of the same name, in London's West End was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The singer wrote the music and lyrics for it and subsequently landed herself a Tony nomination for best original score.
The California native tweeted at the time, "This is the heaviest. I'm so sorry for our brilliant company members and our audiences that won't get to say goodbye to the show with a curtain call. We are all indebted to the incredible waitress fans who gave us an extraordinary run. Love love love and gratitude. stay safe. xo."
Meanwhile, it's believed the Grammy-winner had caught the virus during her theatre performance for the musical 'Waitress' in London's West End. Her co-star Gavin Creel also feared he caught the virus and later stayed in self-isolation, but did not get a test.
