Sergio Ramos Leaves Real Madrid, the Club Confirms

Real Madrid legend has announced his departure from the club.

Real Madrid just recently made an announcement that their club captain Sergio Ramos will be leaving the club on Thursday. The Spaniard is leaving the football giants after 16 seasons of playing for them.

"Sergio Ramos will leave Real Madrid and tomorrow will be his farewell in press conference, as @jpedrerol and @jfelixdiaz 
reported," Fabrizio Romano, a transfer reporter, tweeted. "The decision has been made - Carlo Ancelotti tried to convince him but Ramos wanted something new. Flag of Spain #SergioRamos."

Real Madrid also made an announcement to farewell the club legend in their official website. "Real Madrid C. F. announces that tomorrow, Thursday 17 June, at 12:30 p.m., an institutional act of tribute and farewell to our captain Sergio Ramos will be held, which will be attended by our president Florentino Pérez," read the announcement. "Sergio Ramos will then appear before the media in a virtual press conference."

Sergio Ramos has won 22 major trophies with the Los Blancos, which includes five La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles. He is also one of La Liga's top goalscorers from his position as a defender. He famously scored the 92:48 goal as an equalizer in the 93rd minute of the 2014 UEFA Champions League Final.
