Simon Cowell is Engaged with his Long term Partner Lauren Silverman
Simon Cowell popped the question to his long-term partner, Lauren Silverman: The duo has been dating for over eight years!
Simon Cowell is officially engaged; he reportedly got down on his knees and popped the magical question to his girlfriend of eight years, Lauren Silverman. What makes the couple's proposal more magical is that the music mogul did it in front of their kids. Cowell and Silverman share a son, Eric, 7, who they welcomed in February 2014. Lauren also has a son, Adam, 16, from her previous marriage with real estate mogul Andrew Silverman.
Cowell and Lauren, a socialite, were on a family getaway in Barbados, where Cowell proposed Lauren, with their boys in attendance. The 44 years old socialite reportedly burst into happy tears and responded with a quick yes. Cowell, 62, who doesn't come off as a marrying type and the star had admitted so himself, reportedly reaccessed his views after falling for Lauren.

A source said, "They are both super happy. They've been together a long time now and adore each other, so it's not a huge surprise to their close friends." Another source reports, "Lauren was absolutely stunned and never in a million years expected Simon to pop the question. She burst into tears - happy tears - and obviously said yes straight away."

Cowell and Silverman's relationship dates back to 2004. In 2013, sources revealed Lauren was expecting her first son with Cowell, after which the socialite soon filed for divorce from Andrew, also Cowell's then-closest friend. "I'm not proud of the circumstances, I can't hold my head up about it," Simon had said about getting Lauren impregnated while she was still married.

The pair have since been official and low-key about their romance. Cowell reportedly didn't want to have a child, but the music mogul admits having a child has brought out his softer side. "I called him Tad because he looked like a tadpole. Something just kicked in. I felt unbelievably protective of both of them. I just absolutely wanted him. I just hadn't known that before," the former X-Factor judge said.
