The Italian is not returning to Premier League as Tottenham called off talks.

Antonio Conte won't become Tottenham Hotspur's new coach as reports say that the club has stopped their pursuit.

Only a week ago, there was strong speculation that the former Juventus manager would become the new manager for the Lilywhites in a matter of few days.

But after the meeting held between the representatives of both parties ended at a standstill on Friday, it was all but confirmed that he wouldn't be in charge of the London club.

Reportedly, Tottenham became concerned about Conte's demands for a higher budget to bring star players. However, spur's higher-ups deemed that the Italian's demands were "unrealistic" given the current financial circumstance the club is in posed by Covid in recent times.

Additionally, the 51-year-old has a reputation for buying read-made stars and his notoriety to not work with young players, which is contrary to the club's reputation.

The former Inter Milan boss will possibly take a year break from coaching. Conte won the Serie A with Inter in the recently concluded campaign before shocking parting on a "mutal consent" due to financial issues.
