Trailer for 'Game of Thrones' Spin-off 'House of the Dragon' is Out Now

Watch the Trailer for the Game of Thrones' Spin-Off, House of the Dragon: The Trailer Presents an Impressive Cast! 

House of the Dragon: an upcoming prequel to the megahit Game of ThronesMartin's recently dropped its teaser trailer. Watch it below. The first footage of the most-awaited series doesn't reveal much, but it does give insight into the show's spectacular casting and action-filled drama.  

Based on George R. R. Martin's Fire and Blood, the show will follow up with the history of the Targaryen family. The upcoming fantasy drama was announced two years ago in October 2019, and its casting began in July 2020. Matt Smith, who is playing dragon rider Prince Daemon Targaryen, can be heard narrating the one-minute and seventeen-second-long trailer.   

 The dragons are coming.

The trailer begins with Smith quoting, "Gods, kings, fire and blood, Dreams didn't make us kings. Dragons did," it is ten followed with brief spine-tingling snippets that promise no less action than the Game of Thrones. The hotly-awaited series will center around the Targaryen family and is set two centuries ahead of the Song of Ice and Fire, on which the Game of Thrones series is based.

Created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal, its leading casts members include Paddy Considine as King Viserys I Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower, and Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower. Other cast members also include Steve Toussaint,  Wil Johnson, John Macmillan.  

The House of Dragon is a prequel to Game of Thrones.

The series will be released on an unspecified date in 2022.

The 10-episodes series is set to premiere somewhere in 2022. However, it isn't guaranteed if Thrones's diehard fans will turn up for the prequel, considering how the creators left off things in the last season of GOT. However big the future audience, House of the Dragon remains one of the most-awaited series of 2022.
