Travis Barker Feels He and Kourtney Kardashian Are 'Very Similar'

Travis Barker is head over heels in love with Kourtney Kardashian, who he privately married in an impromptu wedding on Monday at One Love Wedding Chapel. During his recent interview with Billboard, the Blink-182 drummer explains how he and Kourtney are two peas in a pod. "We're very similar, with our backs to the wall. We have no quit, and I need someone like that in my life," said the 46 years old drummer.  

Barker credits Kourtney for helping him move on from his trauma with flying; the drummer experienced a catastrophic plane accident in 2008 while he was married to his then-wife, Shanna Moakler. The accident left Travis with third-degree burns and prolonged trauma which changed after meeting Kourtney, 42. Last year, the drummer boarded his first plane in 13 years with his Keeping Up With the Kardashian beau. Sharing a picture of themselves on their trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Barker wrote, "with you, anything is possible."

Barker and Kourtney shared a platonic relationship for years until last year, when they sparked dating rumors and soon surprised fans with their fast-paced relationship. The pair announced their engagement last year in October. The dreamy proposal took place at a beachside hotel in Montecito, Calif, with only a handful of close ones to celebrate their special day. Fans were left even more perplexed when the news of the twosome's tying the knots surfaced earlier this week. But Kourtney reveals the two aren't married legally.

"There was no possibility to get a marriage license at that hour. We asked five times. What do we have to do to make this happen?' It was 2 am, and they were like, 'It opens at 8 o'clock,' explained Kourtney during her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Replying to people dubbing their nuptial a "sham wedding," she said, "It's not called 'fake married."The pair's spontaneous wedding occurred following the Grammys on Sunday, and it was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Posting some loved-up pictures from their unofficial wedding, Kourtney wrote, "Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2 am, after an epic night, and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect," hinting at their zeal to obtain a license and marry any day. Kourtney shares three kids, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, and Barker has two children, Alabama and Landon, with his ex-wife Moakler.
