Hilary Duff Shares First Pic From 'How I Met Your Father' Set: All Details Here!
The fan-favorite sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, was set to have a new version back in 2016. Fast forward to April 2021; it was officially announced that the spin-off, How I Met Your Father, was ordered by Hulu. On Tuesday night, Hilary Duff, cast to play the lead character, Sophie, teased fans with a picture from the set.
"Who's ready for us," wrote Duff, 33. She further writes, "We may or may not have been sitting in front of a certain someone apartment." At the end of the caption, Duff dropped the hashtag #HIMYM, an abbreviation that was used for the original sitcom.

In the snapshot, Duff appears with her co-stars, Brandon Michael Hall, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma, Chris Lowell, and Francia Raisa. Her castmates also made similar posts on their Instagram handle. Raisa, who will play the role of Valentina, captions, "Kids, I'm going to tell you an incredible story. The story of how I met your father."

How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays, and Craig Thomas have joined the project as executive producers. Aptaker and Berger, whose best credit include NBC's This Is Us, are on board as creators. "We can't wait for audience to meet Sophie and her crew, and watch them come into their own and find love in modern-day New York," the duo had said in a statement.
The wait is over; HIMYM's spin-off is officially in production.

According to Hulu, the story will follow Duff (Sophie) telling her son about how she met his father; It will take the viewers back to the year 2021, where Sophie and her close circle friends are in the midst of figuring out their life. The much-anticipated spin-off doesn't have a release date or a trailer yet, but it is sure to pay tribute to the original sitcom.
Actress Duff is married to singer and songwriter Matthew Koma. She is widely known for her roles in Lizzie McGuire, Cadet Kelly, Agent Cody Banks, and Cheaper by the Dozen.
