Ashley Graham Launches Her Plus-Size Wedding Dress Collection

When it comes to beauty, Ashley Graham leaves no stones unturned.

Model Ashley Graham might be pregnant with her first child now, but that doesn't mean she would just sit back and wait for the baby to come. Her most recent project towards fashion and beauty is off the shelves.

After already launching her plus-size underwear and swimwear ranges, the attention for Graham has come from the bridal market. In collaboration with bridal specialists Pronovias, she designed an inclusive wedding dress collection.

The collection is inclusive in the sense that the dresses are available for women from size 4 to 38. The range of dresses consists of 15 different ones, along with a female tuxedo suit to be worn as evening wear as well. Considering her makeup removal process is worth $1,361, the prices of the wedding dresses are also princess-y. It starts at £1,000 ($1316), and the most expensive is for £3,500 ($4609).

The decision to work on plus-size wedding dresses is inspired by her own search for her wedding dress before the wedding with Justin Ervin back in 2010. The 32-year-old was unable to find a perfect bridal gown in the right size. She instead had to resort to a smaller one with a panel sewn into the back.

"When I was looking for my wedding dress it took a really long time to find the right one, and even when I did find the right dress, it wasn't the right size and it wasn't going to be available for my wedding day," she talks of her experience. "I was a size 16 at the time and I had to buy a size 10, and they had to put a whole panel in the back. I was spilling out of my top and my back, and it wasn't the dress that I wished that I had. There is some regret there, and that's why I've put a lot of my want and desire, and what I wish I had on my wedding day into these designs."

The Ashley Graham x Pronovias collection will be available to buy in-store from April. More of this story on Harper's Bazaar.
