The first two Back to the Future films are coming to Netflix.

'Back to the Future' is arguably the greatest time travel movie series in history, and now the popular trilogy is finally making its way to the streaming giants. The classic science-fiction adventures of Doc Brown and Marty McFly is set to make its debut on Netflix next month.

The trilogy, written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, is one of the few fictional stories that are incredibly engaging and feels fresh even to this day. Irrespective of the decade you're watching the films, the narrative of the plot couldn't be more intriguing.

The first installment of Back to the Future released on July 3, 1985, and instantly became a massive hit amongst the audience, peaking at #1 at the box office for nearly three months. In fact, the movie became the highest-grossing film of the year.

The story revolves around the adventures of a teenager named Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) who travels through time thanks to the invention of an automobile time machine created by scientist Dr. Emmett "Doc" L. Brown (Christopher Lloyd).

Following the massive success of the first movie, the studio gave the green light to two more films; 'Back to the Future Part II' (1989) and 'Back to the Future Part III' (1990).

Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd's Dr. Emmett Brown carried amazing chemistry together, and fans don't seem to get enough of the duo, no matter how often they watch the classic trilogy.

Netflix recently revealed they're making the first two movies available on the streaming platform on May 1. As for the third film, it's already accessible; however, most would agree it's not as good as the first movie and the subsequent sequel.

There have also been rumors of Back to the Future getting potential reboots, but there's yet to be official word on this.
