Boxer Teófimo López Married to his wife or just engaged?

Teofimo Lopez traveled a long distance since the time he was knocked out in the first round of the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he was representing the flag and the nation of Honduras. It was a disappointing start to his career, but one thing he never seems to know how to do is to quit! Teofimo persisted and struggled to be where he is now, a 15-0 unbeaten record with 12 of them knockouts, and he recently won the IBF lightweight title.

Teofimo was born on 30 July 1997 in Brooklyn, New York, and he is of Honduran origin, with his father getting the young Teofimo into boxing pretty early on. It was tough growing up, the boxer revealed in a recent interview, the pressure of succeeding, making a career, and providing for the family was too much to take some time for the boxer.

The boxer also revealed, at times, he felt like a robot due to all the monotonous regime and constant fight and training, fight and training. But then something changed in 2018 when he met Cynthia Lopez for the first time. Now, he considers himself to be a changed man and someone who doesn’t feel like a robot anymore, along with learning to live like a human again.

Teofimo was done with his most recent fight with Victor Jones Freitas on 12 May 2018, lighting him up in the first round and heading out of the city soon after. The boxer was on a flight to Las Vegas, with headphones around his neck and hoodie on. Teofimo was not looking to talk to anyone and only decompressed after a nice fight.

But when he was pushing his boxing bag on the overhead compartment, a stewardess walked by and complimented on the nice boxing gloves hanging by the side. She asked him what he did for work, and he said he was a boxer, and she asked if he lost the match, and Teofimo replied, “Does it look like I lost?”

After some effort and convincing, Teofimo was able to get Cynthia to go out on a date with him.

The air hostess was Cynthia, and Teofimo watched her as, most of all, the men were keeping their eyes on her as she walked down the aisle. After the talk between the two, Teofimo wanted to know who she was, so “I went back to talk to her and asked her for some water. I told her I fought on Saturday. Every guy on the plane was looking at her.”

The boxer was fell for her, and for a while, he tried to convince her to go out with him. They stayed in touch, and twice he asked her for a date but to no avail. Then, finally, she gave up, and they went on a date, and by the end of the summer of 2018, Teofimo and Cynthia were dating.

It was hard for him to get a date with Cynthia at first, but from the first moment they went out together, both realized they were meant to be together, and it did not take long for love to blossom. The couple was making time for one another; they were both working, he was fighting and training all the time while she was flying with Delta, where she worked as an air hostess.

But they were not going to let their love falter by the distance between them and the work they were doing. The couple announced their engagement on 27 December 2018, with the boxer posting a photo of the two near the Golden Gate Bridge and showing off her huge ring.

The couple announced their marriage on 23 April 2019, and the duo got married on the same day, surrounded by their friends and family. Cynthia is the rock in his life, and he stated his wife was the reason he started to live again and stopped spending thousands of dollars on unnecessary things.

Cynthia is seen in most of all the matches Teofimo is in, and he stated she is anxious and scared all the time he steps inside the ring. Obviously, a wife is going to be scared when her husband is stepping into a place where both of them are trying to kill one another.
