Bruce Willis Is Retiring From Acting After Medical Diagnosis

Bruce Willis is giving up on acting due to aphasia diagnosis: The complete story here!

Bruce Willis's deteriorating health has been a quiet discussion for a while, with many suspecting the actor has dementia and some insiders claiming Will has been suffering from the early onsets of the brain disorder. The clarification to the long speculated theory came recently. The Die Hard actor reportedly suffers from aphasia and is giving up acting due to the condition.

The public statement on Willis's diagnosis and his retirement came from his wife Emma Heming-Willis and his ex-wife Demi Moore. "To Bruce's amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities," the statement read. "As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him," the statement continued.

Aphasia hampers a person's ability to comprehend language due to damage to a specific part of the brain. Its major causes are said to be stroke, head trauma, tumor or brain infection. Moore and Heming's statement further read, "This is a challenging time for our family, and we appreciate your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him."
