Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes broke up after two years: Inside Camila's love life!  

After over two years of dating, Hollywood's most adored couple, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, have called it quits. Mendes and Cabello kept their relationship very public for the last two years, appearing almost unbreakable in the process. The couple's PDA-packed social media pages were hinting at a possible wedding bell, but instead, the duo gave their fans a bitter surprise. 

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao was born on March 3, 1977, in Cojimar, Havanah. Cabello's professional career started with the girl group Fifth Harmony in 2016, which soon gained a legion of fans with hits like Better Together, Reflection, Work From Home, and Worth it. But Camilla's breakthrough came when she departed from the group and started her journey in 2017 with the song Love Incredible.  

Why did Camila Cabello and Shawn Mended break up? 

Before the duo embarked on their romantic journey, they were good friends. Shawn, a vine star back then, met Camilla, then a member of Fifth Harmony, during the Austin Mahone tour in 2014. Mendes was crushing hard on the songstress, but Camilla was hesitant to steam up their relationship.

The rumors of the duo dating spread after they released their Senorita duet in 2019. Soon after its release, the couple confirmed their romance and assured it wasn't a publicity stunt for their song. Since then, the pair's relationship has been nothing short of perfect; both Mendes and Cabello didn't shy away from showing immense love and respect for each other, and even while announcing their split, the duo ensured the same level of love for each other.

Shawn and Camila posted a matching statement on Instagram about their breakup earlier this week. "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever," the duo wrote. They further added, "We started out relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends."

It seems there's no substantial reason behind their breakup, and the duo decided to split ways because their relationship had turned stale. An insider reported, "The relationship was getting stale and complacent and they decided they are better off being Friends."  

Who is Camila Cabello dating?  

Though the songstress has a fair experience in dating, her relationship with Mendes was best-known and covered. The Senorita singer is currently single and happy. Both Cabello and Mendes continue to be active on social media and look as happy as before, showing the world what a healthy breakup looks like.

The Cuban-American singer was recently spotted enjoying a day out. Cabello later revealed that she went to watch the recently released Disney musical Encanto. Taking to her Instagram, she wrote, "I was desperate to see this movie and we ran to the movie theater last night to go watch it."

Camila also extends her gratitude to actor Lin-Manuel Miranda for representing Latinos. "Lin, thank you for continuing to represent Latinos and sharing our stories with the world," she wrote. Also, Mendes teased a post-breakup single with his new song; It'll Be Okay, set to drop on December 1st.
