Claes never thought of acting when he was in school, he was devoted to his music, his first love, and passion, but one day someone suggested to the actor to try out for a school musical role. Well, rest, as they say, is history, after appearing in the play the actor fell in love with acting, priorities changed and instead of music being the dominating factor of his life, acting became his new devotion, and he never let it go afterward.

The actor said, “It happened at high school. I was in a band at the time, and someone suggested I play the leading role in a school musical. I thought, no way, I can’t act. But I tried it, and it went really well.”

The couple got married in the latter part of 2010, and instead of having a marriage ceremony in a hall, the couple decided to get married on a decked canal boat in Copenhagen amongst the 100 invited guests. Claes Bang and his wife are also the parents to her two kids aged 10 and 32, and they are also grandparents to a beautiful baby boy. Claes in the step-father and step-grandfather to the three kids, and he currently lives in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen with his wife and step-son.
