Well, rest, as they say, is history! After appearing in the play, the actor fell in love with acting, and his priorities changed. Instead of music being the dominating factor, acting became Bang's new devotion, and he never let it go afterward.

The same was the case for Claes Bang when he was done with his education; Claes was reluctant to send his name to the Danish National School of Theatre. 

Then someone told him the school only accepted applicants under the age of 25, he was 23 at the time, and the actor got in, and in about five years, he graduated in 1996. So began the illustrious and successful career of Bang, the Danish heartthrob.

Sorry ladies, Claes Bang, is got a ring on his finger, and the lucky lady is stylist Lis Kasper Bang. The couple got married in the latter part of 2010, and instead of having a marriage ceremony in a hall, the couple decided to get married on a decked canal boat in Copenhagen amongst the 100 guests. The couple exchanged their vows on the deck, in from all their friends and family, and they recently celebrated their ninth marriage anniversary.

Claes Bang and his wife are also the parents of her two kids and they are also grandparents to a beautiful baby boy. Claes is the stepfather and step-grandfather to the three kids, and he currently lives in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen with his wife and stepson.
