Currently a co-anchor on Good Morning America, George Stephanopoulos is an esteemed political commentator and former democratic advisor. Before joining the ABC network in 2002, Stephanopoulos served in President Clinton's administration as a policy and strategy chief advisor.  

From 2014 to 2000, he held the supreme title of Chief Anchor of ABC. Stephanopoulos has made quite a controversy in the past, but his married life with actress Ali Wentworth has been a peaceful chapter and continues to be. The pair are dedicated parents of two. Learn more ahead.  

Stephanopoulos and Wentworth's 20 Years of Married Life! 

The Good Morning America host and actress Wentworth are the epitomai of a power couple. Stephanopoulos and Wentworth met on a blind date in April 2001; the duo got engaged two months later and tied the knots in November. The couple is doting parents to two daughters, Elliot Anastasia and Harper Andrea.

In 20 years of their married life, the couple has remained drama-free and have been forthcoming about their marital life. In a conversation, Ali reveals the best thing about George. "He's my straight guy. He's not funny per se, but I can make fun of him and he can laugh at that," the actress/comedian said.

Stephanopoulos is as vocal, if not more, when it comes to sharing anecdotes of their personal life. Reminiscing on his first date with Ali, the anchor said, "You know how when you go on a date and the first 15 minutes are on automatic pilot?" He adds, "We went from strangers to friends to being in love in days."

Wentworth has screen credits in In Living Color, Trial and Error, The Real Blonde, Call me Claus, and Head Case. She is also an author and producer. During her stint guest-hosting, Live with Kelly and Ryan, Ali revealed that George found her tendency to talk about their private life annoying; she adds, George has since made peace with her habits.    

George and Ali's Firstborn Departs For College!  

The celebrity couple recently shared great news with their fans. Sounding emotional on her podcast, Go Ask Ali, she says her firstborn, Elliot, 19, has left for college. She further adds, "My eldest daughter went away to college and it was not an easy ride back." The actress shares that Elliot tested covid positive just before the departure.

Both Ali and Stephanopoulos were infected with the virus last year. Wentworth revealed she was battling the virus in April, and just weeks later, Stephanopoulos had also tested positive. In the new episode of Go Ask Ali, the mother of two says Elliot is doing well. " Now She's thriving at college," Wentworth concludes.

In June, Wentworth had shared a post of Elliot preparing for prom. Posting a picture of her daughter all decked up in an elegant black gown, Wentworth wrote, "Prom night, that is not her death." George, Wentworth, and their daughter Harper reside in their $6.5 million home in New York.
