Fans were stunned hearing the demise of one of the greatest NBA players Kobe Bryant, his 13 years old daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, and seven other victims in a helicopter crash held on Sunday in Calabasas, California. It was a gloomy Sunday for all the passengers as they were visiting Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California, for a basketball match. Gianna was working hard to the Finals MVP trophy from her companion at The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). 

Gianna Bryant was the second oldest daughter among Kobe's four daughters and also the one close to the Black Mamba who followed his footsteps. Bryant was training Gigi and her teammates five to seven times a week with different sections such as footwork, dribble-dive, shooting, point guarding, and so on. On 2018 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kobe was asked if Gianna wanted to play in the WNBA. The Lakers star responded, saying, "She does, for sure."

As a matter of fact, after retiring in 2016, Kobe began coaching Gianna's middle school team, where he shared "Gianna's pretty easy to coach" sharing to Entertainment tonight in 2018.

Russ Davis, the women's basketball coach at Vanguard University in Southern California who was a close friend to Bryant shaed few words about the rising star Gianna, 

Gigi was really turning into a special player. It's hard to predict her future, but with the way she was improving and the way she understood the game, she was going to have a bright one.

Gianna always shared she would continue her dad's legacy, but sadly it was only destined to be. Nevertheless, she made daddy proud recognizing herself as one of the valuable players in the WNBA.
