'Squid Game' Actress Ho Yeon Jung's Love Life Exposed: Who Is She Dating in 2022?  

Since Squid Game's debut on Netflix in September, the show has become a cultural phenomenon. HoYeon Jung, who played a North Korean defector named Kang Sae-byeok, has gone on from being a model to an international star, and well, the internet's latest crush. The Netflix series was Jung's acting debut.  

HoYeon Jung was born on June 23, 1994, in Myeonmok-dong, Seoul, South Korea. She started taking modeling classes at the age of 15, and by 16, Jung was already a freelance model. Jung graduated from Dongduk Women's University with a major in modeling and competed in Korea's Next Top Model in 2011. Who is HoYeon Jung's Boyfriend?  

The Squid Game fame HoYeon Jung, 28 is in a relationship with South Korean actor Lee Dong-hwi, best known for starring in the hit drama Reply 1988. Jung and Lee have been dating since 2016. Though Jung doesn't give the complete deets of her relationship with the actor, she does mention Lee's feelings about Squid Game's success.   

"He's very proud of the success of Squid Game," Jung tells a Korean publication. The model-turned-actress adds, "Since he's also an actor, he's a good senior, a good friend, and a good person. He cheers me on a lot, and he worries for me as well. He's sort of like a dad."  

Jung originally gained fame as a fiery red-haired model. She has walked on runways for brands like Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, and many more. Before becoming an international celebrity, Jung was already a top model in Korea, but she hasn't sparked a single dating rumor over the years.

Jung's boyfriend, Lee Dong-hwi, 36, has credits in The Handmaiden and Extreme Job, the second highest-grossing South Korean film. It appears Jung and Lee's relationship was scoffed at first, and the reason behind it was said to be the 9 years of age gap between the two. The couple has hence, kept their relationship very low-profiled.

Jung Becomes the Most-Followed South Korean Actor on Instagram!   

It's now official that Ho Yeon is the 'most followed' South Korean actor on Instagram. Before her debut in Squid Games, Jung had 410,000 followers on the social media platform, and now she boasts a whopping 23.2 million followers. Before her, actress Lee Sung-Kyung and Song Hye-Kyo were the most-followed two.  

Jung's growing popularity has landed her a deal with Louis Vuitton. The 28 years old is Louis Vuitton's latest Global House Ambassador for fashion. Jung first walked for the label in Spring-Summer 2017 show, and she also appeared in the brand's pre-Fall 2017 ready-to-wear campaign.
