Although Lopez boasts an extensive dance experience through her scintillating career in pop music, she was not prepared to meet the demands of pole dancing.
The actress - known for pulling off her vegan challenge - trained for almost six months, and remarkably even brought a portable pole with her on tour. She admitted one scene, in particular, made her anxious before the camera, which saw her performing a risque dance routine inside a packed strip club.
She told the PA news agency: “Before I did that scene I was super nervous. But also because of the vulnerability, going up there, all the guys were around the stage, we had about 300 extras in the club and it’s like, ‘OK, go up there and do your pole routine.’
“It’s like ‘oh my God, take off your clothes and wear a thong.’”

The 50-year-old star portrays the role of veteran stripper Ramona Vega in 'Hustlers'. She watches over a struggling single mother as well as Wu’s new recruit, Destiny.
The duo works together to rip off wealthy clients and ends up making a fortune. However, their scheme soon begins to attract the unwanted attention of the cops.
Julie Stiles plays the journalist who interviews Wu’s character and is tasked with getting to the root of the scam.
Alex Rodriguez's fiancee, who also serves as the producer of the film said, she seeks to “make sure everybody’s comfortable” while talking about working alongside other women.
“I want them to know that our set is going to be comfortable, it’s going to feel good, it’s going to be a nurturing, creative space,” she added.

The Crazy Rich Asians star, too, was full of praise of her co-star. Wu acknowledged, “She’s caring for everybody, she always took time to ask if I was OK, or if I was stressed, and she took time to take care of you and I think when you feel that type of love, it’s just natural that a connection forms.”
Hustlers is set for its initial release in the Netherlands on September 12, 2019.
