Hollywood's most adored couple, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet, just announced their divorce after five years of being married and eighteen years of sharing their life. But even in their split, Momoa and Bonet set a perfect example of what true love looks like, freeing and evolving. The Aquaman actor and the Life on Mars actress released a joint statement on Instagram where the couple addressed their amicable split.
The statement read, "The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become," the message further reads, "We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational time. A revolution is unfolding, and our family is of no exception, feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring."

The estranged couple's fated love story is no secret; the Game of Thrones fame has often publicly confessed his love for Bonet and the very beginning of their story. Bonet, 54, was Momoa's childhood crush, who saw her on The Cosby Show as a child, and was determined to make her his. Several years later, Momoa saw his dream come true when he met Bonet at a Los Angeles jazz club in 2004.

Momoa and Bonet confirmed their romance in 2005 and welcomed two children together, Lola, in 2007 and Nakoa-Wolf, in 2008. Bonet shares one daughter, Zoe Isabella Kravitz, with her ex-husband, rock singer Lenny Kravitz. Bonet and Momoa tied the knots in a secret ceremony in 2017.

In their joint statement, the former couple clarified that their decision to announce their divorce isn't because they think their personal life is "newsworthy," but "so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty."The statement further states, "Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life& our Children.
