One Direction may be an old story now, but the band's crazy fandom is still the same as it was before 2015. In a rather cute gesture, one former bandmate Liam Payne took to his Instagram to congratulate another one-direction alum, Harry Styles, for his first-ever Grammy win. And now, one direction fans can't stop gushing over it.

Ever since their heartbreaking split in 2015, rumor has been flying on and off about the former bandmates having bitter feelings towards each other, but Liam's recent heartwarming gesture has in someway proved the opposite.

This was such a long-awaited moment for the fans as all the former bandmates had never won any Grammy, nor as a band, and neither for their solo music. And for Harry to be the first from the gone band to win the coveted trophy has left fans feeling emotional. 

The "Familiar" singer Payne, On Monday, he called Harry his brother and congratulated him in a very cute and witty way. "Congrats @hshq on your Grammy win. What a huge moment, proud to be your brother," Payne wrote, along with a meme about their boy band. And their loyal fans immediately took to Twitter expressing their happiness over the post.

Harry Styles was nominated in two categories Pop Vocal and Pop Solo category, and he bagged the Grammy for the latter for his solo "Watermelon Sugar."He also had his debut performance on the same song this year.

The One Direction band consisting of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Nial Horan had taken a hiatus from their soaring collective career in 2015 and went on to pursue a solo career. Other bandmates haven't said anything on the news yet, except Zayn Malik, who had earlier taken to Twitter to lash at Grammys for playing unfair and of favoritism in the system.
