Patrick Mahomes and Wife Brittany Matthews are Expecting Baby No.2

Kansas City Chief's quarterback Patrick Mahomes is over the moon as he reveals he and his new wife, Brittany Matthew, are expecting their second born. The couple welcomed their firstborn, a daughter named Sterling Skye, on February 20, 2021. The 26-year-old took to his Instagram to drop the happy news. Posting a picture of the trio, with baby Sterling holding a sign saying "Big sister duty coming soon," Patrick captioned the post "Round 2," followed by a heart emoji.  

The heartwarming news comes after only two months; the twosome walked down the aisle in Hawai; Patrick and Brittany tied the knots at a picturesque spot in Maui, Hawaii, on March 12, 2022. The duo, who had been dating since their high-school years in Whitehouse, Texas, got engaged in September 2020, during the same day he received his Super Bowl championship ring at Arrowhead Stadium.

"You don't think it's going to be nerve-racking when you've been with someone for so long, but before you get on that knee, man, your heart is racing. I promise you that," the QB said while dishing on his romantic proposal to Brittany. "On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us. It's always us; it's always you and me," Brittany later wrote in a lengthy, heartfelt post.

She adds, "The words you looked into my eyes and said to me at this moment will NEVER leave my mind! You made this day perfect, you took my entire breath away and I could not have imagined anything better. I love you, forever and always." Matthews, 25, is a personal trainer and a former soccer player. The gorgeous blonde is also a stern animal lover and shares two pups, Silver and Steel Mahomes, with her now-husband Patrick. The pair's Instagram feed unveils the absolute fairy tale their love life had been.

Judging from their page, the twosome started dating in 2013. "Best prom date a guy could ask for!! #prom2013 #bestfriend #greatnight," one of Mahomes's posts read when he was attending Whitehouse High School. Although the pair went off to attend different colleges, they managed to keep their relationship intact. Brittany, who claims to be Patrick's biggest fan, is seemingly his lucky charm too.
