At his heaviest, Rick Ross was hovering near the 400 pounds mark, and this was the reason for the rapper suffering two seizures in about six hours. Rick needed to lose some weight, and after the doctor also told him the same thing in order to save his life, Rick Ross weight loss journey started.

The 'Idols Become Rivals' hitmaker went to chef to cater a well-planned diet for himself, something he would want to eat, instead of something of a fad diet. The rapper did not cut fast food, altogether but instead of eating wings and fried chicken twice or more times a day, he cut it down to two times a week and a maximum of four pieces at one time.

After the diet was taken care of, the rapper also started exercising a lot, instead of going the conventional route, the rapper started on CrossFit, and the exercise was beneficial for the rapper. He said, “It was just time for me to tighten up a little bit, you know what I’m saying. As far as, you know, me working out…I have no destination, no specific weight. And also, you know, I’ve been doing this CrossFit thing, you know, shout-out to Reebok, we had started doing that, you know, last year, some time and you know, it’s just catching up a little bit.”

All the hoops he jumped through, the rapper looked like a new person when he took the stage at 107.9’s Birthday Bash 19. Light, nimble and extremely happy about where he is in life, the rapper said later, “It’s a different type of little workout. I feel good.”
