"I was able to buy it without any parental support; I'm just super grateful, Rina tells the interviewer. The rookie actress expresses gratitude for one more milestone achieved in 2020.

Her long-awaited album, Sawayama, was named Best Fits Album of the year. Her single STFU from the album was the most critically acclaimed release of the year. She also made her US TV debut in 2020. When Rina performed XS on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the hashtag #RinaonFallon didn't stop for days.

Sawayama identifies as both bisexual and pansexual She came out in 2018 in her interview with Broadly. The singer has actively backed the LGBTQ community, and her latest song, Chosen Family, has further amplified her love for her people.
