Popstar Britney Spears, 40, and her fiance Sam Asghari, 28, are expecting their firstborn, Spears' third, and fans have been anticipating more updates on the duo's new milestone. But it turns out the pair are considering keeping the most important part of their pregnancy journey a secret. Asghari recently revealed why he wants to wait till his baby's birth to find out the gender.  

Sitting down for a conversation with Access host Mario Lopez, also Britney's former flame, actor Asghari gets candid about his journey into fatherhood. When asked if he would be revealing the baby's sex any moment now, Asghari said, "That's up to her, but I don't want to know. That's something that I want to wait for." The soon-to-be father adds, "Absolutely, man, hands-on as much as possible. This is my baby, my first baby."

The personal trainer/actor's views on parenting might come off as traditional to many as the Black Monday actor shares his plans to raise his child gender-specifically. "If it's a daughter, it's going to be the most spoiled princess ever; if it's a son, it's going to be the toughest son — I'm going to be tough on the kid," Asghari said. Hopefully, the impending journey will teach the actor to be a better parent.

Spears, who shares two kids, Sean Preston Federline, 16, and Jayden James Federline, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, nonchalantly announced her third pregnancy on social media. "So I got a pregnancy test ... and uhhhhh well, I am having a baby. 4 days later, I got a little more food pregnant. It’s growing," the Toxic singer captioned. Spears recently took to her Instagram to show off her baby bump in different outfits, which she won't be able to fit in pretty soon.

"So I have to model my clothes now before I start showing," the soon-to-be third-time baby mama wrote, adding, "I had to do the flower on my neck like @sarahjessicaparker ... I do have a small belly here, but at least my pants fit Well, barely."Spears and her Iran-born fiance first met and connected during the filming of her MV Slumber Party in 2016. The couple announced their engagement in September 2021. "The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them," Asghari's manager Brandon Cohen, said.
