The New Mutants Movie is Coming without any Re-shoots - Director Josh Boone Confirms
Josh Boone confirms his version of The New Mutants is being released by Disney in April of 2020.
The enigma of the decade of the 2010s when it comes to major studio releases is 'The New Mutants' film. The 20th Century flick was all the buzz in 2017 when the creators of the movie showed up at the comic con and released the trailer. The edgy feel to the whole thing was what won over most people in the Hall and later the world when the trailer was released.
But as the release date for the flick was nearing in April 2018, the movie was postponed with the director and the producers feeling the film needed to be scarier, and they needed to add some horror elements. Well, the movie was delayed form his original release slate, and it all went downhill from thereon.

The new release date for the movie was on 22 February 2019, but Fox soon vacated the place after 'Deadpool 2' was placed a week early. The film was again pushed back from the August release date to make room for another 'X-Men' movie, 'Dark Phoenix.' Then, Disney swooped in to buy the whole 20th Century Fox movie studio.
All the projects after 'Dark Phoenix' were put under review and the movies already with release dates, carried on as they were. But 'The New Mutants' film was in disarray; 'Dark Phoenix' showed X-Men franchise is not as reliable as they were supposedly made out to be, and there was less of an appetite for new experimental X-Men movie.
