MCU killed the Thanos of the movies, but Thanos of Hollywood is still alive and well, all jokes aside, Disney is the biggest entertainment company in the world, well, kind of sort of. Founded in 1923 by brother Walt and Roy O. Disney, the company started out as a cartoon making studio which later started making feature films and slowly moved into other facets of the entertainment industry. Currently headed by Bob Iger the company expanded into theme parks and consumer products which currently form the majority of their business. Disney also currently own Pixar, Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Blue Sky Studios and the biggest cash cow of the 21st century, Marvel Studios. Due to the success of Marvel Studios, Disney currently holds the record of five billion dollar grossing movies in a calendar year. Disney owns more than half of the 43 films which are the members of the $1 billion club. You probably understand now why we called Disney Thanos of Hollywood.
