The Witcher - More Focused Story in Season 2 According to the Creator of the Series
Lauren S. Hissrich said the story for the second season of The Witcher will be more concentrated than the first season.
'The Witcher' is taking the world by storm; even the critical reception leveled out a little, to a mixed response, the reaction among fans is the series is a winner. After just a week of release, 'The Witcher' became one of the highest-rated Netflix originals to date on IMDb, which means people are loving the series and giving it glowing reviews on the site.
The show was better than most of the fans expected, and after months of negative press and catching the fans’ ire, it was a breath of fresh air hearing the show was well-received among the fan base. But say what you will about 'The Witcher' there were some problems with the series and almost all of them were with the way the show was presented.

But with the series already renewed for a second season before the first one was even released, spelled confidence for the show and also allowed fans to rest easy about the series being canceled after one outing. Now, we know a second season is coming, we don’t need to speculate about what will happen in the future season, and people involved in the making of the show can go back to work on another season.
With the second season set for production in February of 2020, the story for the season is already being worked on, and the grip most critics shared about the show is being addressed. The biggest problem with the first season of 'The Witcher' was the lack of a coherent story structure; it takes about two to three episodes to find your bearings on all the time-hopping and which story is supposed to be connected where.

We won’t lie, some moments in the series made us ask ourselves where the whole thing came from in the first place. And to use a game reference, most of the series felt like a side quest of a game to make some coin so you can enter the massive story again with better backup and tools. By the end of season one, you will also feel the same thing, like the whole season was a jumbled short story with a bigger plot playing behind, which won’t get addressed till the next season.
But the people involved in the making of the series say the story will be much more focused in the future. The show’s creator, Lauren S. Hissrich, said, “What’s great about season two, I can tell you, is that, in what we’ve written, the story becomes much more focused. There’s a stronger drive in the story, because all of the relationships that we’ve been setting up in season one, actually start to come into fruition in season two.”

The whole first season felt like a collection of short stories where the main characters meet for the first time, and the story takes off from there in the main book, which won’t be out for a whole year. 'The Witcher' first season is by no means skippable, but a little more concentrated effort with focused cutting would’ve led to a better experience.
Also, do not let any of the criticism take away from the immense talent on display by the actor in the series. Anya Chalotra was doubted by many, whether she would be able to justify the role of 'Yennefer' or not, but she did more than anyone expected with the actress being the breakout performer of the show.

Anya also revealed the difficulty of putting on the prosthetic of young 'Yennefer,' but she wanted it all nonetheless because it added to her performance. The dedication of the actors was the reason why most fans fell in love with the series because when it comes to the content of the story, it lacked a little.
So, “toss a coin” to all the actors of the series because they are the real MVPs of the first season and if all things go as planned as Lauren Hissrich is saying, they will, with the story, there is no stopping 'The Witcher' being the new TV obsession of the masses.
We will just leave this hear beacuse we know you want to hear it again
