Tyra Lynne Banks was born on December 4, 1973, in Inglewood, California. At 15, Banks started her modelling career. After a series of roadblocks and rejection, Banks was signed by L.A Models. Banks' best-known relationship is perhaps with photographer Erik Asla, with whom she shares her only son, York Banks Asla, 6. The Dancing with the Stars host kept her relationship with Asla out of the spotlight for the four years they were together. The pair reportedly started dating in 2013 after crossing paths on Norway's Next Top Model, where Erik was working. Sources described their relationship as love at first sight.

The twosome started their romantic journey almost immediately, moved in together in their Los Angeles home, welcomed their son in 2016, and called it quit a year later in 2017. Banks and Asla's son was born via surrogacy. Fans were expecting wedding bells when it was revealed that the duo went to such lengths to have a child of their own, but the pair instead surprised them with breakup news.

"We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy. The journey to now has not been an easy process," Tyra told People about her firstborn. She adds, "He's (Asla) got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin." Banks' break up with her son's daddy was amicable and drama-free. Despite tabloids alleging a bitter split, insiders said, "It came drama-free and they’re co-parenting their young son."

The supermodel's dating history includes names like Will Smith, who she met on the sets of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and dated for about a year. After Smith, Banks dated now-late director John Singleton for nearly three years. Banks' long list of high-profile exes includes NBA player Chris Webber, singer Seal, and businessman John Utendahl.

Who is Tyra Banks dating?  

Tyra may or may not have been in flings since her split from Asla, but as of this writing, the supermodel is in a very loving relationship with the Canadian businessman Louis Bélanger-Martin, who has been keeping Tyra happy since the fall of 2018. They are still going strong, and if rumours are to be believed, the two might even be engaged. Banks and Martin moved in together in 2019.

Bélanger-Martin, 46, is a businessman and entrepreneur. He serves as the CEO of Advanced Inflight Alliance AG and has held several high-profile positions throughout his career. The pair may be collaborating on a business venture together, specifically, Banks' anticipated upcoming theme park, ModelLand, which has been postponed for the time being. Both Martin and Banks have Harvard Business School listed on their resume.
