Anya Chalotra was involved in almost all the nudity scenes in the first season of The Witcher.
There was an immense amount of nudity in the first season of 'The Witcher'; you could probably tell what was to come if you ever played the games or even watched the trailer for little more focus. But even so, we were shocked at the amount of nudity on display and not only by the side characters but the main character of 'Yennefer' herself where the actress playing the character, Anya Chalotra, was game when it comes to shooting nudity herself.
The show did not only do nudity for the sake of it; instead, it was to further the plot of the film. But still, must actors are not so keen on doing full-frontal nudity or even semi-nude scenes, but it was not the case for 'Yennefer' actress Anya Chalotra. For her, letting someone else portray the character of 'Yennefer' was not acceptable, and she did her best to do all the nude scenes herself.

Anya Chalotra said she had a body double, Flora, on set, but except for the first sex scene with 'Istredd' played by Royce Pierreson, all the other scenes were her. The actress said seeing someone else portray her was uncomfortable, and she wanted to be there for each aspect of 'Yennefer' because it was all part of “acting.”
The actress said, “I only used her for the first sex scene because I realized very quickly in that first sex scene that actually, I didn't feel comfortable anyone else portraying Yennefer, because it's still acting isn't it?” Though the fans were really critical of all the hirings in the show, it seems the actress was not deterred by the negativity and always tried to give her best for the character she was entrusted with.

Anya also went on to describe the reasoning behind doing it herself and how best to film the scene without making her uncomfortable. The 'Yennefer' actress said, “I found [watching] that really hard, so if we were going to talk about the sex scenes then it would be how we were best going to film them so that I was comfortable and you'd still get what we needed for the story to move on.”
The actress also revealed which scenes in the series were her and the one where she used a body double. She said, “But with the audience, yeah, but the wide shot isn't me. The intimacy between Yennefer and Istrid is. Those close-up shots.”

Netflix is open to doing anything, and 'The Witcher' used the platform well to show the story they wanted to present to the audience. Nudity was part of the story, and the importance of the scenes was also one of the reasons why Anya agreed to do them. The actress said, “The only things that I had to get nude for were the scenes, the transformation scene and other scenes which actually really did develop the story and really need to, you know…”
The transformation scene was a brutal one where the actress was semi-nude, and it was also the scene where the character sheds her previous life to become one of the most beautiful sorceresses in the Continent. The determination of the actress was also on full display when she said the prosthetic made her feel inferior, but it all added to her character.

Everything measured as they are; it was certainly a good decision to hire Anya Chalotra for the role of 'Yennefer' because the actress not only cared for the character, but she tried her best to do everything herself, so the best version of 'Yennefer' was on display.
Before the series came out, we asked one question, whether the actress would be able to surpass the expectations of the fans. Well, at this juncture, she not only surpassed them, she most certainly made the character her own, in the same way, Henry Cavill is 'Geralt of Rivia' now, as proclaimed by the writer of the book series, Andrzej Sapkowski.
