In recent heartbreaking news, Earl Simmons, known by his stage name DMX died aged 50, after being hospitalized for over a week in a vegetative state following a drug overdose.
Tribute soon poured in on Twitter from his colleagues and admirers, remembering the late iconic rapper, Chance The Rapper posted an old clip of the late rapper, quoting DMX's words"Often my words fall on deaf ears, Chance wrote: "Rest in Heaven DMX."

DMX's co-star Gabrielle Union from his 2003 hit film "Cradle to the Grave" penned an emotional eulogy remembering her friend on Instagram and Twitter.
The actress wrote "I was praying I wouldn't have to think about how to describe what you meant to me. We bonded over our shared love of dogs, cold beers, Golden Girls reruns, New Edition, and adventures. You are 1 of 1. Rest in eternal peace, my friend. Rest."
NBA star Lebron James had sent DMX his prayers just a day ahead of his death, the champion had taken to his Twitter and quoted "To one of my fav [sic] artist growing up and still to this day DMX, my prayers are with you and sent to the almighty heavens above".

DMX, an actor and rapper, as acclaimed as he was in his art, was also notorious for his personal troubles. The Mount Vernon rapper struggled with drug addiction all his life and had gone into rehab a few times. After his life-long battle with addiction, he lastly succumbs to it on April 9th, 2021.
