Met Gala, the fashion world equivalent of the Oscars where many celebs have turned heads with colorful, chic and unusual styles in order to blend with the theme.
The biggest event of fashion, Met Gala 2019 held on May 6 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, United States was a truly outrageous and over-the-top red carpet.
Met Gala 2019 theme "Camp: Notes on Fashion" which examines how the elements of irony, humor, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, and exaggeration are expressed in fashion. The theme is a reference to Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay.
The "Camp" dress code challenged the style world to ditch the red carpet norms and embrace the most exaggerated, the biggest, the most, if you will, extra of ensembles.
