Chris Rock and Actress Lake Bell Sparks Dating Rumors

Comedian Chris Rock and actress Lake Bell were pictured enjoying a brunch in Santa Monica, California, over the weekend, which could've been a work-related rendezvous, but the romance suspicion grew bigger when the two made several public appearances later on. Bell, 43, known for her extensive television credits like Boston Legal, Children's Hospital, Surface, and the running animated black comedy series, Harley Quinn, sported a black crop top and high waist jeans during the couple's date at Giorgio Baldi restaurant.  

Rock, 57, meanwhile, kept it casual and was pictured in a white, full-sleeved top and a light-colored trouser. The rumored pair were first spotted on what is now believed to be their first public date at a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game in Missouri on June 13. Rock has been in the news ever since the infamous 2022 Academy slap. As a result, the comedian is now unable to enjoy a regular date without getting caught by an eagle-eyed paparazzi or a prying fan.

Although Rock and Bell's alleged romance is still a question as the parties involved haven't addressed the matter, a source has confirmed the duo's relationship. "Chris has been in a really good mood. He is dating and spending his downtime with Lake Bell," a source revealed. The source further tells that Rock and Bell have similar personalities; hence, they are always laughing in each other's presence.

The three Grammy-winning comedian gained recognition working as a Saturday Night Live cast member from 1990 to 1993. Rock has since branched his career into standup comedy and acting. Some of his notable credits include Down to Earth, Madagascar, Head of the State, Grown Ups and Spiral. Aside from being a multi-talented star, Rock is also known to be a hopeless romantic at heart.   

The rumored relationship comes almost three months after the infamous Oscar slap.

The Grown Ups actor was married to humanitarian Malaak Compton-Rock from 1996 to 2016. Rock later admitted to infidelity and took the blame for his failed marriage. "You don't wanna get divorced. You got somebody you love? Hold tight, commit. It's my fault because I'm a f***ing a**hole. I didn't listen. I wasn't kind," the comedian said during a Netflix standup show. Rock shares two daughters, Lola and Zahra, with his ex-wife.

The Bigger & Blacker comedian dated actress Megalyn Echikunwoke for four years after his divorce from Malaak. Rock was last linked with singer Carmen Ejogo. Chris's current alleged girlfriend, Lake, has also been married before. The Harley Quinn actress was married to tattoo artist Scott Campbell from 2013 to 2020. She shares two kids, Nova and Ozgood, with Campbell. The Boston Legal actress also dated her co-star Colin Farrell previously.
