Jacob deGrom's Blissful Married Life!  

Jacob met his now-wife, Stacey Harris, back when he was anonymous in the sports world. The duo tied the knots on November 8, 2014, at New Smyrna Beach in Florida. But the couple's love story goes way back then that fateful wedding day. Before finally walking down the aisle, they dated for seven years.

Stacey and Jacob deGrom met via a mutual friend. But little did the pair knew, a late evening date at the bull-riding event would turn into a lifelong of companionship. On Christmas day 2013, Jacob recounts, he proposed to Stacey. It was an instant yes. The couple flew to Maui for their honeymoon.

deGrom and Stacey are parents to two children. They welcomed their first child, Jaxon, in April 2016. The couple had some complications during the birth of Jaxon. Baby deGrom was put under intensive care at the hospital for days. In February 2018, their daughter Aniston was born.

Stacey is a housewife and in charge of their chic Manhattan apartment. Before marrying deGrom, Stacey worked shifts doing clinical studies for people with sleep apnea. The mother of two is fully committed to tending her family. "She’s kind of like me, easygoing,” said the 33-year-old pitcher.  

Is Jacob deGrom Skipping All-Star Game?

After a remarkable game against Milwaukee Brewers on July 7, deGrom earned his 1,500th career strikeouts; he has announced he won't be attending the All-Star game at Coors field. deGrom has lobbied teammate Taijun Walker to take his place.

“I’ve thought about it, and obviously being named to an All-Star team is a great honor, but I’m going to take that time and just enjoy it with my family, whether I pitch Sunday or not, and get healthy for the second half,” said deGrom after his match with the Brewers.

deGrom was named 'National League Pitcher of the Month' in April; in addition, he has also been endowed NL Rookie of the Year once and Rookie of the month title twice. He made his MLB debut with the Mets in 2014. deGrom is currently one of the highest-paid players in MLB.
