Is Michael Keaton Married? Inside His Personal Life
Michael Keaton's wife and his married life: Complete story here!
Michael Keaton was the first actor to play the black cape crusader in the 1982 first Batman film. After more than two decades, Keaton is reprising the iconic role in two upcoming, The Flash and Batgirl. Some of his best-known films over the years are Night Shift, The Paper, Mr.Mom, Birdman, Live From Bagdhad, and the recently-released Dopestick, a Hulu series for which he bagged a SAG award recently—details about his career and net worth.
As an acclaimed public figure, Keaton is an Academy Award and BAFTA-nominated actor, but outside his A-list profile, Keaton has maintained a pretty regular and humbled lifestyle. Michael, 70, was born in Kennedy Township, Pennsylvania. Since rising to stardom with the 1982 film Night Shift and Mr.Mom, Keaton has been married once.
Michael Keaton's Wife! Who Was Keaton married To?
Since rising to international stardom playing Bruce Wayne in 1989, Michael Keaton has cemented and maintained an A-list career in the industry. While the actor's staggering versatile roles have indeed rendered him enough experience of a married man, Keaton has seemingly been in strife with the socially constructed institution in real life.
Keaton was married once and a father to one. Keaton was last married to actress Caroline McWilliams. Sadly, Michael's wife tragically died of multiple myeloma in February 2010.
Keaton and McWilliam kept their personal life away from the spotlight. As such, the actor and his ex-wife, Caroline, married in a private ceremony. Throughout the years, the couple's marriage remained elusive.

After Keaton and Caroline tied the knot in 1982, the actor and his wife welcomed their only son, actor Sean Douglas after a year. While the initial years of their wedlock looked dreamy, Keaton's nuptial bond would end in less than a decade.
The couple's marriage seemingly lived its course when the Batman actor filed for divorce from Caroline in January 1990 and went on to co-parent their then 8-year-old son while leading a peaceful and exemplary life as an estranged pair.
Even after their separation, Keaton took a brief hiatus from Hollywood to raise his son and had nothing but love and respect for his ex-wife. Keaton later revealed he was struck hard by McWilliams' death, and processing the loss was more challenging than he thought. The actor branded Caroline as a "remarkable mom" and thanked her many times for bringing Douglas into his life.
Although there isn't knowing what goes on in a celebrity's life or the kind of person one is behind all the sensational headlines and glamour, Keaton's low-key life and humble demeanor have left little room for any speculation.
The Batman actor was single but didn't wholly avoid romance after Caroline's death. He dated actress Courteney Cox from 1989 to 1995.
