Selena Gomez reunites with her best friend Taylor Swift to celebrate her 30th birthday milestone. "30 and nerdy, and worthy," Gomez wrote while sharing a picture with Swift, 32, who can be seen forming three and zero with her hands to represent Selena's age. The second snap shows Gomez laughing gleefully while opening a wrapped present. The Rare beauty founder and the All Too Well crooner have been BFFs for as long as fans can remember.
When Gomez and Swift first connected, they were reportedly dating two of the Jonas Brothers. Gomez was going out with Nick Jonas, now husband to the Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra, and Swift was seeing Joe Jonas, married to Sophie Turner with two kids. "It was amazing because she was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots, and I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked," Gomez said while recalling their early days as friends.
Fans call the duo "BFF Goals."

Over the years, Gomez and Taylor have fueled some eyebrow-raising headlines, be it because of their high-profile love life or their hyped-up feuds with fellow stars. Nevertheless, the pair have consistently stood up for each other and showed their tight bond via their work. Selena's sweet birthday celebration with Swift comes a little after the Only Murders in the Building star took to Twitter to share a makeup tutorial with Swift's hitmaker, The Man playing.

While the gesture won fans' hearts, who called the duo BFF goals, Taylor, too, commented in sync with their fans. "It's giving CEO, it's giving gorgeousness, it's giving friends forever," the Lover singer wrote. In an interview in 2020, Gomez shared how her friendship with Swift is mostly a well-wrapped affair.

"There's so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don't know about because we don't necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do," the Rare beauty founder said. Gomez adds, "she has shown up for me in ways I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family."
Gomez credits Swift for being there for her at rough times.

Apart from their countless performances at the events as a duo, Gomez also famously appeared in Swift's 2015 MV Bad Blood. But a real collaboration has been long pending for the singer duo. "I've always dreamed of doing a song with Taylor," Gomez confessed during an interview in 2020. "We both wanted to do that. We've talked about it, for sure," she added.
