Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: Upgrades to the Stormtroopers' Appearance in the New Promotional Clip

The Stormtroopers are getting an equipment upgrade in the new movie.
We are on the home stretch when it comes to the final Star Wars movie dealing with the Skywalker saga, or so Disney says. And with the release of 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,' the 42-year-old story will call curtain on one of the most beloved/controversial stories in the history of cinema.
To that extent, Disney is making sure they are pulling out all the stops to be certain the movie is a massive success while also closing the story of over four decades and tying it all in a satisfying neat bow.

Director J.J. Abrams is doing his best to close out the story, and he also recently revealed the movie is done all post-production and is locked for release. This means the movie is set, and there will be no further tweaks made to the story or the appearance of the film as the final cut is done.
Since the movie is completed, everyone is now focused on another task at hand, selling the film to the audiences scorned by the last film. There was a lot of hate and grief directed at 'The Last Jedi' because of how the movie handled some of the beloved characters of the franchise.

There was a mass exodus of fans after the last movie was released to an overwhelmingly positive response from the critics and middling response from the fans. This was the reason why Disney brought back J.J. Abrams after firing Colin Treverrow from the final movie so he can right the ship, and fans can be confident they will be getting a story by a fan and not by an artesian director.
Come what may when the movie arrives on screen this holiday season, the team behind the movie is doing their best to sell the film to the fans who left and the once who are still here. After waiting for a long time for a trailer, it was met with okay response though the fans did not believe a single shred of what they saw at the end.

But now they will not be releasing any further trailers and only TV spots, and it was in the TV spot where we see for the first time an upgrade in the Stormtrooper armor. We saw the short version of the clip before in the trailer where a Stormtrooper riding on the back of a speeder is launched into the air, and we thought it was Rey’s blaster at work.
Well, a slightly extended version of the clip released by Disney shows they were launching themselves into the air. In the years between the two Star Wars movies, it seems the Stormtroopers are getting jetpacks to fly.

Yup! Just like the Mandalorians, the soldiers of the First Order now can fly and attack from the sky using their jetpacks. It is an obvious way of making a new toy, just like the dark-side-Rey is also a toy ploy, but flying Stormtroopers are fun to look at, and the surprised look on Finn’s face was particularly priceless.
So, 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' will arrive in theatres world over on 20 December 2019 during the holiday season. In the run-up to the movie, there will be a lot of clips and TV spots, so if you want to avoid being spoilt on the film, then our advice is to watch the first trailer and go in only on the knowledge of the first trailer.
