Biz Markie was a Fun Dad!
The Harlem-born rapper was an icon in the 80s. In the last decade, Markie expanded his career to acting and hosting radio shows. He went off the radar in the last few years. Fairly active on social media, Markie, however, kept his personal life off-limits. Following his unfortunate death, it is found the rapper had two kids.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Tara Davis Hall. Before marrying Biz, she was a model and had appeared in several commercials. The pair tied the knots in 2005 in a private ceremony. They shared two kids, a daughter named Averi, and their toddler son's name is unrevealed at the moment.

On fathers day, Tara described Biz as a father; the former model wrote, "You can only imagine what kind of Dad Biz is fun, fun, fun! Happy Father’s Day, @officialbizmarkie, and to all the Loving Fathers out there, keep making memories." Tara shared a few pictures of her kids with their father.

As per Tara's Instagram bio, she and her daughter Averi have a small business called Lynn Scents. The website of the business reads, “soy candles made with essential oils featuring a variety of high-quality fragrances." It further states Tara took the initiative to teach her teen daughter the importance of business ownership.
Biz Markie Will be Remembered as the Ambassador of Goodwill!
Markie's warm nature and humility aren't unheard of. The late rapper will be forever remembered for his comical personality. Apart from creating some biggest hip-hop hits, Biz's fans were amused when they found him on the famous children’s television show Yo Gabba Gabba.

"Not only was he a tall guy, a big guy, he just has this oversized personality," Yo Gabba Gabba's host, Dj Lance Rock, told Rolling Stone. Sharing several heartwarming anecdotes from his time with Biz on the show, Lance said, "He Was the Ambassador of Goodwill."

In a career spanning over three decades, Markie made appearances in Men in Black II, the international television series Kung Faux, and The Andy Milonakis Show. In 2020, Markie was hospitalized after suffering serious complications from Type 2 diabetes. The rapper reportedly passed away with his wife and children beside him.
