Here's Why Keanu Reeves Is The Limit Of The ‘John Wick’ Films
Keanu says he is the ceiling of the John Wick movie and the film can go only as far as he is willing to learn.
The type of renaissance enjoyed by Keanu Reeves is something akin to a miracle and a type of majestic rise no one ever really enjoys. But Keanu Reeves in his 35th year in the movie industry is making waves like none other. He recently enjoyed the highest-grossing movie of his career with Toy Story 4 crossing the $1 billion mark, and the 'Neo' actor was also responsible for making the John Wick franchise reach new milestone with John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum crossing the $300 million mark and also helping John Wick franchise past the $580 million mark.
It is extremely rare for an actor to enjoy his/her most productive year so far along with the career, but it is what happened for the actor with a total of $1.3 billion grossed in the first six months of the calendar year. But it wasn’t only the box office collection which makes his re-rise to fame remarkable; it is the interest and the chatter he was able to generate which led the whole year to be unofficially named, the year of the Keanu.

Now, the actor just finished filming Bill and Ted Face the Music for which he was sporting a new look, and he is also set to star in the recently announced The Matrix 4, but the one we are most excited for is Keanu’s return in the John Wick franchise which is set for release on 21 May 2021.
But before the actor comes back to his role in John Wick 4, he was talking about John Wick 3. The actors’ insight will be available in the new featurette coming in the box set for the film, and Cheat Sheet recently got an early copy for the movie where Keanu talked about why he is the limit of the franchise.

“Over the years of doing the John Wick training, the physicality, the martial arts and then the weapon work, I’ve gotten better,” Keanu said. “So I’m really the ceiling because the vision is always bigger than me, and when you’re the limit, you can always get better because the vision is always greater than you.”
It is apparent what he means by being the ceiling of the franchise; the movie works until he is game to do what the director’s vision is and it can only go as far as Keanu himself is willing to learn and grow. He is saying he can always get better, and Keanu will not let his learning curve to hinder the growth of the movie. So, Keanu is always trying to be better because the vision of the writer and the director will always grow.
