Are Galactus And Tyrant Heading To Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Marvel is gearing up for the arrival of Galactus and his herald Tyrant.

Marvel movies made some massive changes at the end of the Avengers: Endgame. Three of the original six Avengers are either dead or retired, and the remaining three are scattered all over the galaxy which probably spelled the end of the Avengers. If that is the case then Marvel is making a very gutsy call; Avengers: Endgame just became the biggest movie in the world, and it is weird for a study to let go of something which is guaranteed to make at least $1 billion at the box office no matter what line up they put out.

It is easy to think Marvel, doesn’t have a plan after the death of Iron Man and Black Widow and retirement of Captain America. But it is not true, Marvel just introduced a slate of movies and TV shows for Phase 4, and we are getting words they’ve already figured out what they are going to do with Phase 5.

The problem most fans are getting to is since the MCU killed off the Mad Titan Thanos who will be the imposing villain who will put the fear of God in the heroes? Everyone’s obvious answer is 'Galactus', and according to the words coming out from Marvel Studios Galactus will be making an appearance (finally) in the MCU, but he will be accompanied by 'Tyrant'. The former herald of Galactus who battles him and the ensuing fight results in the destruction of many galaxies.

Marvel recently announced The Eternals and 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' which will fully embrace the cosmic aspect of the Marvel comics. The comics are filled with vast cosmic wonders Marvel can use in the future movies and their willingness to make Eternals is evident MCU is embracing the cosmic aspect of the MCU.

Marvel’s announcement of The Eternals lines up perfectly with the report which suggests Galactus is coming. This also means a lot for the Fantastic Four’s future in the MCU after they recently came under the Marvel umbrella resulting from the acquisition of Fox studios by Disney.

Kevin Feige talked about bringing the Fantastic Four and Mutants to the MCU, though his mention was brief, he still said, “I'm extremely excited about those characters and about bringing Marvel's First Family up to the platform and the level that they deserve.”

Kevin also talked to MTV news during the Golden Globes, before the deal with Fox was finalized. He said;

The truth is, I’m excited for all of them. I’m excited, and it’s not just the marquee names you know — there are hundreds of names on those documents, on those agreements. And the fact that Marvel is as close as we may ever get now to having access to all of the characters is something I’ve been dreaming about for my almost 20 years at Marvel. And it’s very exciting.

The report also suggests the Avengers will not be making a return, but a whole new team is going to be formed called 'Ultimates'. The thing is we’ve only been introduced to two of the five members who make up the Ultimates, but Galactus features heavily in the story, so just like a ragtag team was passed off as Avengers, maybe Marvel will find a way to fill all the spots of Ultimates.

It is every Marvel fan’s dream to see Galactus in full glory and not just the smoky blub thing which appeared in the horrible 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer'. It is probably Kevin’s dream also to do the first family of Marvel universe justice and bring Galactus to the big screen. So, be ready people, the announcement may not happen anytime soon, but it is a near certainty Galactus is coming to the MCU. We are delighted today!
